Hello,

I?ve got my new Zaurus C1000 some weeks ago and tried out some ROMS.
Right now I have Hentges GPE on it and now I wanted to try out Angstrom
(and hopefully stay with it).

=> So my question is, if it is completely unstable right now or is it
quite good to play around with?

=> I?ve seen since yesterday gpe versions are available again (not only
bootstrap versions). could someone please tell me, which files I should
download and rename? at
http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/unstable/images/20070207/akita/ I
see the following files:

Angstrom-bootstrap-image-test-20070207-akita.rootfs.jffs2
Angstrom-bootstrap-image-test-20070207-akita.rootfs.summary.jffs2
Angstrom-gpe-image-test-20070207-akita.rootfs.jffs2
Angstrom-gpe-image-test-20070207-akita.rootfs.summary.jffs2
modules-2.6.18-akita.tgz
modules-2.6.20-akita.tgz
updater.sh.akita
zImage-2.6.18-akita-20070121185355.bin
zImage-2.6.20-akita-20070207151043.bin
zImage-2.6.20-akita-20070207212805.bin

------------------------------------------------------
is it correct to get and rename these to files?
zImage-2.6.20-akita-20070207212805.bin => zImage.bin
updater.sh.akita                       => updater.sh

=> which file do I have to rename to "initrd.bin" ?
Angstrom-gpe-image-test-20070207-akita.rootfs.jffs2 or
Angstrom-gpe-image-test-20070207-akita.rootfs.summary.jffs2 ?
what is the difference?
what means the extension jffs2 ?

=> do I need the module files as well? how do I have to use them?

Thanks for any help,

Michael
