[Angstrom-distro-users] 2007RC1.3 testing on h2200

I previously tested RC1 - and filed a couple of bugs:
---
package manager bug: http://bugs.openembedded.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3490
(verified on RC1.3)
---
BT turn off bug: http://bugs.openembedded.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3489
(verified on RC1.3)
---
An old bug is still present (I have made it a blocker of 3488 - the
hardware-specific bug):
http://bugs.openembedded.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3328
---
A minor keyboard bug (also old, not made a blocker of 3488 because it is so
minor):
http://bugs.openembedded.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3235
---
Network-related:
kernel-module-ieee80211-crypt-tkip
kernel-module-ieee80211-crypt-ccmp
kernel-module-michael-mic

are not available in the feeds or installed on the image (modprobe fails
for all three modules). _I_ think they should be installed by default....
:) but I know that not everyone may share my opinion on that matter. I
have not filed a bug for this.

This of course means I have to steal my neighbor's wireless....
---

That's all the testing I have done.

As a general comment, I know there are ongoing discussions about ONE
BOATLOADER TO RULE THEM ALL (tm), but if any h2200 users are migrating from
other linuxes, they may have installed LAB (linux as bootloader). What
harm would including a lab file pointing to the SD card do? (I do all my
testing on an SD card with the RC image, but I have to modify it with a
labrun file to be able to boot)

as an example:
/boot/labrun:
---
copy fs:/mnt/boot/zImage fs:/zImage
umount /mnt
armboot fs:/zImage "root=/dev/mmcblk0p1 rootdelay=10
console=ttyS0,115200n8"
---

rootdelay can probably be 5, but there needs to be some delay or LAB fails
too quickly.

I also think that wlan0 should be auto in /etc/network/interfaces, but this
is quite arguably end-user config.

The overall system seems quite snappy and extremely stable (that is a
significant change), but it is missing a minor piece or two for release IMO

Best Regards, and many thanks to everyone who got it to this point.
josh
