  Well, yep ;-\. IIRC, that merging requirement applies to an
alternative package manager, not the default one? Otherwise, we'd need
to provide shell wrapper to merge on-spot, as build-time indeed not
going to work... Anyway, I guess we indeed can just remove it and
start building as is, solving that in-process.

  Well, it was so nice to have release-stamped images after so much
time of daily builds ;-). But if autobuilder is going to be run
regularly in automatic manner (yes, yes!) then we don't have other
choice...
