This is fine and no extra leg work required (doesn't change anything,
just adds). Committed to defconfigman, will appear in r14 in due time
(let me know if you think this is priority).

By the way, buzzer driver awaits rewrite too - instead of being an adhoc
char device, it should be cast to be a LED (which is actually a
generic user feedback subsys).
