Dear all,
I own a C1000 (Aktia) now for 2 years already. However, most of the time
I didn't use it due to a strange resume problem [1] I have with both
pdaXrom and Angstrom.
I worked with it over a period of almost 1 year with the Cacko-ROM which
didn't show any resume problems. Therefore, I guess it is not hardware
dependent. The problem seems to be very infrequently. I got my Akita
direct from Japan, maybe I have another hardware revision or a different
firmware or whatever ?!
I got tired to try over and over again to fix the bug by myself with my
humble knowledge of kernel stuff and embedded internals.
I guess there are other Aktia owners out there which might face the same
problem and it should worth to fix this annoying bug. Thus, I thought it
might be an idea to offer to send my Akita to one of the key-developers
of Angstrom to offer him the ability to fix as many open bugs for Akita
& Co. as possible.
I'm far away from be a rich guy and the Aktia cost me a lot (money and
discussions with my wife ;) ). Thus I can unfortunately NOT donate the
Akita completely. But I'm willing to send it to one of the developers
for a period of time and I will cover the shipping cost for both directions.
For sure, I will be happy to get my Akita back after some time in one
piece and therefore, I kindly ask the main-developers of Angstrom to
tell me someone who might be the best person for this job and who is in
addition known as a responsible person. ;)
I hope this offer might help the community to go on further with the
development and I'm happy to hear any comments and ideas.
In addition I can send a D-Link DCF-660W CF-Card (which works seamless
for me) and a GPS-CF-Card (don't remember the name yet), if the
developer like to investigate any bugs related to CF-card stuff.
I'm located in Germany, thus developers with a close distance to me are
appreciated to keep the shipping costs low.
For sure this offers does not induce that the developer has to fix the
particular bug under all circumstance. I will be happy with any progress
. But for sure I will be a happy guy if I can use my Akita in the near
future without resetting it ten times a day.
Very best regards
Torsten
