The consensus on OEDEM was "after staging changes have stabilized, before december"

Don't know, that will probably have the get discussed on a case-by-case basis.

The branch is going to be shared with the openmoko distribution, so there will be some
time were an openmoko employee is paid to maintain it, but I fear the rest will be "as
long as people that use it will support it".
