Hello Koen,
Tuesday, October 2, 2007, 11:33:03 PM, you wrote:

Well, maybe then it's the tinderbox thing which is not that visible
to me. Last time I checked, there were tindexbox instances which were
empty, empty, empty and empty. Where they were not empty, it was
something like build results from random packages from different
parties. That's not my stance on QA, I'm afraid. It should be a
Continuous Integration system which builds something noticeable (like
a whole image) on a single host and with a given set of parameters,
and iterating over other set of parameters (for example, build some image
for bunch of machines). Intrinsic visibility of those parameters and
exact things being built is a good bonus.
So, maybe it's indeed my eyes, my browser, or tinderbox's perlness
odor which precludes me to enjoy OE's "official" solution, but from
several (I have to admit, older) attempts that's the stereotype I got.
My attempt to do an IMHO-sensible CI is here:
http://linux-h4000.sourceforge.net/busyb/oe/ . It's of course not
ideal and at all rough (and not really continuous), but at least it
does what I want.
Either way, the more people set up QA systems, the better. And the
distributed QA is not one where multiple random parties contribute to
one random result, but where multiple parties run the full cycle on
their own ;-).
